Today I went working with my Mom! We went skijoring! We had lots of fun. Way more fun than when Mom goes working at that office place! My kind of working is fun, fun, fun!

We went to the lake for awhile. It's all frozen now. I got to go loose and just rip around for awhile. I love that!

I was wearing Paxil's harness today. It fits me good now, but I'm not sure I'm ready to fill it, if you know what I mean. Mom is hoping some of Paxil's magic will rub off on me! I was more focused today. Mom never had to yell "TEHYAAAAAAAAAAA NOOOOOOOOO", not even one time!

Yet Again!

I fell for that silly car ride trick again today! Again I ended up at the vet getting my butt fixed up. My butt is getting worse instead of better! One of my anal glands(whatever those are) ruptured!!!

I gotta take more pills for a week and then go back to the vet again! We'll have to do this whole mess all over again!

Except that my Dad will be tricking me! Cuz not only is my Mom mean for tricking me week after week, but she is leaving me for ten days! With only Dad to take care me! Booo Hiissssss wwoooooo, Mom is mean!

Mom is going to some football game thingy with her Dad. I'm sure it will be on TV so I don't see why she couldn't stay with me!!

Tricked Again!

I fell for my Mom's tricks again today. You'd think that a dog as smart as me would avoid being tricked by now! But I fall for that car ride trick every time. I should know by now that no good comes from a car ride on a Wednesday morning. Nope, those only lead one place, that horrible place, the vet clinic! Where there is no one to play with, you get poked and prodded, given sleepy medicine and spend the day in a little kennel.

Now I am so sleepy I can't hardly even stand up! All I want to do is sleep in front of the woodstove.

Oh, yah, I had to go to the vet cuz I got some butt troubles again! I hate having my tail touched so the vet, Dr. Helen today, gave me some sleepy medicine. That way I don't want to bite her and I suppose my butt will feel better tomorrow.

I got a bunch of pills and medicines to take for a week too.

Then I gotta go back to see Dr. Helen, get the sleepy medicine again and spend another day at the vet clinic!!

Butt troubles ain't no fun and my Mom is mean for trickin' me!!

Snow, Glorious Snow

We got a big bunch of snow this weekend!

Such fun stuff that snow!I had lots of fun playing in it! It's here to stay now! There's enough to ski even! Mom says we will go skijoring soon! There isnt quite enough to stop the dogger team so that will be a bit longer!

Me and Reggae spent the afternoon wrassling. You'd never know he is over 10 years old! He is a good wrassler!

Remember that little puppy, Tut?

Remember awhile back I helped my humans take care of a puppy for one night?

Remember Little Tut! He just stayed here for one night while he waited for his human to pick him up and take him home. I was kinda worried cuz my Mom really liked that puppy and he liked to snuggle with her, but Tut really just stayed one night!

We had heard he was getting real big and growing up to be a nice dogger! That must be my influence! ;)

Lookit those ears! Oh, my Mom laughed at that! We didn't think he was gonna get giant standy-up ears! He sure is a big boy now and he's only about 10 months old. He ain't done growing yet!

We are glad not-so-little Tut is doing good and having a nice life!

Some feathered friends...

I thought I'd show you a couple feathered friends of mine today.

This is a Raven, not my sister Raven, but a birdie. There are about 10 billion of them in the Yukon. Tons of them hang out in my yard. They really, really, really like dogger food! They are always trying to steal our dinner, our bones and they are always squawking! Boy, them are some noisy birds! We chase them, but they are smart and hard to catch!

We don't chase this guy! He's a bit scarey looking, dontcha think!? Having an eagle around sure does shut the ravens though! Even they won't mess with an eagle!

How I spent my birthday

Yesterday was my birthday! Yuppers, I am THREE!! Where has the time gone!?

I may be all growed up now, but I am still the Babydog!

I had a very fun birthday.

Here I am waiting for a special treat. Mom had her pockets stuffed full of yummy goodies!

Anvik came to visit me in my pen. He doesn't usually stay back in my pen. I showed him around and gave him a little chewing!

I chewed on Pacer for awhile too! Pacer loves it when I chew on him!

We even sang a little duet.."Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday, dear Tehya the Babydog, Happy Birthday to me!"

Today I got to go for walkies all by myself, just me and Mom! I don't know why no one else got to come too. No one is in trouble or anything like that. Musta just been my lucky day!

It's pretty on my trails right now. Lotssa colors! It's real windy today though so I think those pretty leaves will be on the ground soon!

We went to the lake. Mom says it will be too cold for swimming soon; its already too cold for humans to go swimming! So I figured I better get in a little dip!
I had lots of fun ripping around and I was very well behaved. I came back every time Mom called me and I was nice to these two little dog we ran into. They were littler than my cats! Maybe it's a good thing only I went on this walk. Some of my siblings might have mistook those wee dogs for squirrels or snacks!!!

Berry Picking

Me and Mom went berry picking today.

This is what we were looking for, low bush cranberries! They can be kinda hard to spot, cuz alot of red berries grow around here and some of them are yucky!!

Mom makes jam and muffins and stuff with the berries! Last year there was zillions of them around. We had to look a little harder this year. Cranberries do not like it when we have a hot, dry summer....neither does Mom come to think of it!

We wasn't looking for this, but we found some! Woo Hoooo, it's moose poop! We didn't see the moose today though; we never do when Mom has her camera!
Daisy likes berry picking. She gets to lay around alot! Mom always takes dogs with her when she goes berrypicking...cuz bears really like berries! We probably wouldn't be much help with a bear, but at least we would let her know one is coming!
I don't like laying around as much as Daisy. I was hunting mousies and chasing squirrels!

Mom got enough berries to do some baking. She already made two cranberry loaves and she froze some to use in the winter time. Tomorrow we might go check out a different cranberry picking patch!

Mom says I need to go to the lake.....I sorta rolled in some of that moose poop! All my doggy friends think I smell devine, but Mom says I need a bath or I'm sleeping outside!!

Out 'sploring with my Mom

I went 'sploring with Mom this afternoon.

We went on a new trail! I didn't even know there were more trails around here. I thought I had 'splored them all, but I guess not!

Of course, Daisy came too! Daisy always comes with us!

We found this stash of acorns. Khyra, I think an evil squirrel was stocking up for winter! I couldn't find him, but I chased a few of his buddies!

We walked a really long ways today! My Mom's friend is away and she is checking on their house. This trail took us kinda close to there! Mom was checking out the cranberries too. The crop ain't great this year, but we found some so we will probably have a cranberry picking adventure soon too!
Daisy had to take a little break. Mom thinks her shoulder was bugging her. Daisy just ain't made for ripping around all day, like me!

On our way home, we stopped and visited my Dad. He is fixing a roof just down the road from our house. That's my little friend, Tucker, in the picture. I like him. He follows me around. He's no Princess(and he has a nice family), but it was nice to get followed by a little dog again!

That Daisy, she just makes herself at home anywhere! She was lounging while I was checking on my Dad!

Then we came around a corner and Hey! That's my house!

It's a busy day around here...besides 'sploring, it's Anvik Day! He has lived here for three years. I am celebrating by chewing on him...like everyday! Plus we are waiting for nice Dr. Carolynne to come visit us. She is gonna steal some of Sleet's blood. When you are an ancient dog, you get your blood stolen alot it seems! Plus Dr. Carolynne is gonna check Franklin out. His fur and skin is just a nasty mess. She already gave him some medicine for that but I guess he needs some more or a different kind!

I found out tonight that my little shadow friend, Princess, has died. She escaped from her owner and she got run over. She was so little; she wouldn't have had a chance against a car!! Me and Mom are so very sad. Mom's face just won't stop leaking. Our hearts are broken.

Godspeed, Little Princess. I will miss you, my friend.

Visitors!

I couldn't post last week cuz I was busy with some visitors!

Those kids that my Mom is so fond of came to visit us again. Their Mom didn't come this time. They flew on a plane all by themselves! Then my Grandpawents came and picked them up a few days later!

We had lots of fun with them! I love kids! They have almost as much energy as me!
Anvik likes them too! He just can't get enough cuddling!

Those kids even used our dog cart. That's good that it got used, cuz we all hate it! Mom says it was a big waste o' money!

My brofurr, Chum, had to go to the vet while those kids were there. He had a nose bleed. That's never good for a dogger! Unfortunately, we found out yesterday that he is really, really sick and he probably won't be with us for too much longer. He has a big cancer tumor in his belly, on his liver and his spleen. I am very sad about that cuz me and Chum are good buddies, but Mom says she is gonna keep him comfy for as long as she can. Maybe we will get more time than the vet thinks! Doesn't he look happy snuggling with that Hannah kid?

I hope those kids come back and play with us again next summer!

Alll by myself....sing it with me furiends! My very weird Mom says there is a song called that, but trust me, you don't want to hear her sing!

Cuz my little foster sister left us yesterday!

I am bummed about this! I really liked that little dog, but her person wanted her back. He is doing better, but we ain't sure he's doing good enough to keep up with a young dogger. Princess was glad to see him yesterday though. Mom wouldn't have let her leave if she seemed afraid or anything like that. He was glad to see Princess.

We sent her off with a big box of treats and toys. She ain't gonna have no one to wrassle with. She might be a bit bored after playing with me! We did have alot of fun together!

We are keeping Princess' spot in the pack open. Mom and I are a bit torn...we want to see Princess and her person both happy and healthy, but we also want Princess to be with us! We don't want nothing bad to happen to her person or to Princess!

My very wise Dad says Princess' job with her first person isn't done yet. She still has to do something with him...we hope she will bring him some happiness; maybe her job is to give him something happy to do everyday!

We will get uppiedates on Princess and make sure she is doing ok. We will miss her, but she is always welcome to come back....I 'spect she will be my wrassling buddy again someday!

That little Princess dog has turned into my little shadow!

It's the weirdest thing, everywhere I go there she is!

Even weirder, I don't mind one bit! Little sisters are fun! None of the other girl dogs here will play with me. They are either really old and don't play at all anymore or they are kinda mean to me and just don't get along with other girls.

Me and Princess are having lots of fun together! I taught her how to wrassle! I even let her win once in awhile!

Tonight we went for a walk together and Mom let Princess off her leash for awhile! Princess really liked that! It is fun to run around with a dog who is as fast as me! Princess is super good at spotting squirrels too! She can see a squirrel at 100 yards no problem!

Yup, this being a big sister thing is pretty cool! Who knew??

Tonight me and my Mom decided to take Princess for a walk. Yanno, show her around the neighborhood.

We took her to the lake. Princess had to stay on her leash cuz Mom doesn't trust her yet. Someday she might get to run around off-leash with me, but not tonight! She ain't a water dog! She did not think going swimming was a good idea, but I sure did!

I have discovered this summer that I like to swim! Lookit me go! My paws are off the bottom and everything!! Swimming is fun!

A new foster sister!

I got a new foster sister today!

Her name is Princess. She is really puny! I am way bigger than her and I ain't a very big dogger! She is about half my size! Mom says Princess is a pipsqueak! She is about 18 months old.

I like her well enough. She seems to know that I am the boss of her. I'm good with that!

Princess has been living with some friends of my humans for awhile, but they ain't her real owner. Her owner is their uncle and he is sick. He's been in the hospital. Princess needed to run around and play, but she couldn't do that where she was staying. So she is staying with us on an extended play date. :) If her person gets healthy enough again, then Princess might go back and live with him or she might stay here forever. We don't know yet!

Princess seems to like it here so far. I remember how nice it was not to be tied up anymore too! It is way better to be able to run around!
